Workshop: Collagraphs with Tetra Pak
with Eliza Strauss-Jenkins
$175
In this two-part workshop we will go over how to cut, dry point and print tetra pak to create a collagraph print. Supplies provided, you are invited to bring your own paper. This is a simple and fun way to explore collagraph techniques with found materials. The workshop is beginner friendly. In the first session we will go over image design and prepping the matrix, the second session will be dedicated to printing your images.
What is Tetra Pak? It is a paper food carton used to hold liquid substances. Typically silver in color and waxed, like the inside of a coconut water bottle. An image can be created by selectively removing the waxy coating to expose the paper fibers and then printing the design onto paper.
Included in the price is a month of Print Shop Membership to continue work on your tetra paks through November.
Friday 1-4PM on October 30th and November 6th.
